From school tournaments to national stages — your students’ journey starts here.
The Ireland Esports Schools Series is more than a competition. It’s the first step in a clear, supported pathway that connects students with real-world opportunities across education, community, and career.
Ireland’s third-level institutions are building some of the most exciting esports communities in Europe. Your students can go on to:
• Join official university teams and clubs backed by campus staff and student unions
• Represent their institution in the Ireland Esports Collegiate Series, our national university league
• Access coaching, casting, and leadership roles across the scene
Every province has a university or college already active — your school might be feeding into one just down the road.
Over 15 institutions are now competing in the Ireland Esports Collegiate Series, which runs Autumn and Spring each academic year.
Students who take part gain:
• Competitive experience across games like Rocket League, Valorant, League of Legends and EA FC
• Access to live production and shout casting
• National exposure and potential pathways to sponsorship, internships and job opportunities
This is a real sporting structure, built to mirror traditional university leagues — and it’s growing fast.
Outside of school hours and campus walls, a new wave of grassroots esports is rising:
• Community centres running digital after-school clubs
• Esports content creation groups and startup teams
• Local tournaments popping up in youth hubs, tech spaces, and libraries
Your students don’t have to wait — they can participate, contribute, and even lead.
The Ireland Esports ecosystem is evolving daily:
• Mental health partners like Play Aid are supporting wellbeing through gaming
• Industry events, youth showcases, and summer camps are emerging across the country
• A growing number of national and regional frameworks are being shaped right now — and we’re involved at every level
The Schools Series is a launchpad into a national culture of digital competition, collaboration, and creativity.
Not every student wants to play. Some want to shout cast. Coach. Stream. Design. Organise.
We support all roles, all interests, all ambitions.
Let’s give them a place to start — and a reason to keep going.
